Asbestos Roof Replacement

Hindmarsh Roofing had the pleasure of re-roofing the iconic Arkaba Hotel, located only five minutes east of the Adelaide CBD.

Our team removed asbestos shingles from the architecturally designed 12-sided upper main roof, 7 lower roof areas and from the perimeter skirt roof.  We installed Zincalume roof battens to support the new roofing profile and insulation for year-round comfort. A combination of True Oak 35, True Oak 21 and Mid Oak 10 corrugated iron roof sheeting was installed to the roof areas. Danpalon twin wall polycarbonate sheeting was fixed to cover the highlight window areas.

This project involved two teams working day and night for four weeks to complete the roof replacement.

Roof Replacement

This commercial property, situated on the fringe of the Adelaide CBD, in the suburb of Kent Town oozes charm. In need of a complete roof replacement, Hindmarsh Roofing was engaged to carry out the work. Our clients wanted to reproduce the period details and also ensure that the building had all the modern conveniences.

We removed the existing metal roofing from the extensive, double storey building. To compliment the heritage style, we installed corrugated iron roof sheeting, stepped chimney flashings, scribed ridge cappings and all rainwater products to the entire roof areas.
